WARNING – Impostors Up To Mischief
Some 50 hours ago, Chong Zhemin was the target of an impostor who impersonated him with the seditious posting “Close down this uni and avoid another May 13th” in the thread “Suspend Hashim as UM Vice Chancellor – totally unfit and unqualified”.
I immediately identified the impersonation with the comment: [This is an impostor, impersonating as Chong Zhemin – Kit]
Although the impersonating of Chong Zhemin stopped, those behind a spate of mischief on the blog in the past several days either impersonating other commentators or using various handles to post offensive, provocative or incendiary comments continued unabated.
I want to identify two such postings tonight. One impersonated as “UM200++” with the most provocative comment.
This has caused the genuine “UM200++” to lodge the following protest: ”Stop using my pseudoname here!” This is not the first time that “UM200++” had been the victim of impersonation in the past few days.
A short while ago, another incendiary comment was posted on the thread “Will Najib/Shafie ‘sink or swim’ with Hashim?” by “ah beng”.
The impostor of Chang Zhemin and UM200++ and the person who used the handle “ah beng” are probably one and the same person using the same IP from New Jersey, United States. Other handles have also been used by the same person/persons from the same IP with very provocative and irresponsible posts., including Pemuda Umno, SianTaoOng, LumPah, Lan Cheow and ScrewUp.
I thank “Hang Tuah” for his understanding and support. Clearly, there are attempts to discredit and destroy this blog, which must not be allowed to succeed.
