APs list for 337 MPs/ex-MPs since 2000
I reproduce the full list of 337 MPs and ex-MPs who were issued an AP each to import a car from 2000 to September 2005. In today’s Parliament, I asked the Minister for International Trade and Industry, Datuk Paduka Rafidah Aziz to state “the abuses in the issue of APs to import cars, why the sudden jump in the issue of APs in 2004 and 2005 as compared to previous years and to release the full APs lists since 1987 including individual APs”.
The question was slated No. 24 out of 38 queries, giving it no ghost of a chance to come up during the one-hour question time, as normally only the first 10 questions had the chance of being answered orally. Today, for instance, only the eighth question was reached when the question hour ended.
In any way, Rafidah was not around in Parliament to personally answer the question even if it had come up for oral answer during the question hour. As is parliamentary practice, written replies are given to questions not answered during the question hour.
In the written answer to my question, Rafidah denied APs abuses. I will not here dissect her most unsatisfactory and sub-standard reply, postponing it to another occasion. Herewith the list of 337 MPs and former MPs who were issued with an AP each from 2000 to September 2005 (my question had specifically asked for the AP lists to go back to 1978).
